• <br /> ORDINANCE NO. gf 6 /' <br /> ' AN ORDINANCE amending Chapter 16, Section 24.010, <br /> Everett City Code, dealing with platting and establishing minimum <br /> Iimprovements, dealing with grading and surfacing of roadways . <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> ' Section 1: That Chapter 16, Section 24.010, Everett <br /> City Code, is hereby amended to read as follows : <br /> "16.24.010 Minimum improvements listed. Minimum <br /> improvements shall include the following: <br /> i <br /> A. Clearing: All rights-of-way shall have all stand- <br /> ing timber and brush removed from the rights-of-way and all stumpsi, <br /> 1 down timber and snags cleared and removed within the confines of <br /> sG <br /> said rights-of-way. <br /> B. Grubbing: All rights-of-way shall be grubbed by <br /> the removal of all large rocks, roots, snags, logs, brush, etc . , • <br /> upon the surface of the ground and refilling of all excavations <br /> and holes left by said removal within the confines of said rights- <br /> of-way. <br /> C . Grading and Surfacing: All rights-of-way shall be <br /> graded according to the profile established within their confines, <br /> and crowned to City of Everett Standards (presently .017 feet <br /> ` for each foot of curb-to-curb width) . The right-of-way shatl be <br /> graded to a shoulder-to-shoulder width as specified under "Minimum <br /> curb-to-curb pavement widths (feet) " of this Section and provided <br /> with ditches, all in accordance with City of Everett Standards . <br /> Six inches of gravel base, Class "A", complying with the pro- <br /> visions of Section 22, Standard Specifications State of Washington <br /> Department of Highways Addition of 1963, shall be placed on the <br /> shoulder-to-shoulder width and covered with one and one-half <br /> inches of crushed surfacing top course complying with Section 24, <br /> Standard Specifications State of Washington Department of Highways <br /> ' Addition of 1963 . <br /> After these two courses of material have been thoroughly <br /> compacted, a minimum width of 24 feet of Asphalt concrete pave- <br /> ment, Class "B", conforming to the provisions of Section 32, <br /> Standard Specifications State of Washington Department of Highways <br /> Addition of 1963, shall be placed on the prepared surface in <br /> accordance with the above specifications . <br /> D. Drains : Metal, clay or concrete nine drains across <br /> roads where required by the city engineer and roadside ditches <br /> sufficient to carry normal runoff, irrigation waste, water of <br /> flood waters characteristic to the area included in the proposed <br /> plat . <br /> E. Culverts or trestles : All culverts or trestles over <br /> waterways, draws or gulches, when over four feet in height, shall <br /> conform to the city engineer 's specifications for pipe structures <br /> of the nature required and shall be provided with guard rails . <br /> Where streets or roads of the subdivision connect to or inter- <br /> sect existing roadways, there shall be installed drains of metal, <br /> clay or concrete pipes of not less than twelve inches diameter . <br />
