Surplus property requires a call for tkd,and anyone can <br /> bid and then buy it. Vacated property has conditions to protect adjoining • <br /> property owners: I)does not have to pay more than 508 of the appraised <br /> value,and 2)only the original property owners can acquire it. <br /> Councilman Baker felt that vacations are beneficial to the citizens of <br /> Everett,particularly when tax revenues become available to the citizens <br /> by property being placed back on tax rolls. She asked what haPPens when <br /> we vacate property to an owner who is tax-exempt from property tax.
