219 <br /> May 15,1991 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett CLty Council was called Sr <br /> order at 7;00 p.m., May 15, 1991 in the City Council Chambers <br /> of the Everett City Hall, President Morrow presiding. Upon <br /> roll call it was found that all councilmen were present except <br /> Councilmen Diamond and Overstreet who were excused. Mayor <br /> Kinch was also excused. <br /> The minutes of the May 8,1991 meeting were approved as printed. <br /> MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br /> Mayor KinTrann=d g:igltro:igeprtntltalitonsn <br /> M,:mcal=,,,;?roclaimed the month of May, 1991 as "Older <br /> May 13th through Met 17th, 1991 was proclaimed "Senior Center <br /> t4Int,teletrough May 25th,,1991 was proclaimed"National Public <br /> NEIGHBORHOOD CLEAN-UP <br /> Sarah France, Director of the Office of Neighborhoods, <br /> introduced Linda Gough, Planning Department, for a report on <br /> the NE Everett/Riverside Spring 1991 Clean-up. <br /> Ms. Gough shared a video and slide presentation of the various <br /> aspects of the clean-up activities. She recognized Viola <br /> Oursler, NE Everett, and Frank Crosby, Riverside, as <br /> neighborhood coordinators of the project. <br /> Ms. Gough reports that 27 vehicles, and 120 "white goods" <br /> (large appliances) were hauled away; 14 sites were cleaned of <br /> overgrowth;Rubatino Curbside garbage pickup took away 120,000 <br /> lbs. (60 tons)of refuse; and approximately 18 code enforcement <br /> cases/problems were closed. <br /> Special thanks was given to the Planning Department,Office of <br /> Neighborhoods, Youth Commission,Parks Department,Public Works <br /> Department, Recycling Division, Communications/Media <br /> Department,Alfy's Pizza, Jerry's Surplus, Everett Boys&Girls <br /> Club, Everett School District, Delta Baptist Church, Rubatinc <br /> Refuse Co, Everett Iron and Metal Co. Twinkie's, Charlie <br /> Laborde and Dig D's. <br />
