124 <br /> April 8,1992 <br /> The regular meeting of the.Everett City Council was called to <br /> order at 8:30 a.m., April 8, 1992, in the City Council Chamber <br /> OP the Everett City Hall, President Gipson presiding. Upon <br /> roll call it was Pound that Mayor Kinch and all councilmen were <br /> present except Councilman Anderson who was excused. <br /> Councilman Pope led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> Councilman Overstreet indicated that there was an omission from <br /> last week's minutes. He had informed C until that he would be <br /> going to a Growth Management session in California last weekend. <br /> The minutes of the April 1, 1992, City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. <br /> APPOINTMENT <br /> nCincass o ffollCcil'snccy non tea Pn nthne mntmein <br /> alternate <br /> list as Jan Mahlum resigned. <br /> Moved by <br /> with <br /> Pope, seconded by Councilman Overstreet to canto the Mayor's appointment of Don Chase to the <br /> Planning Commission alternate list. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Kinch proclaimed the Meek of April 12 - 18, 1992 e <br /> National Public Safety mmunicators Meek in honor end <br /> IT nge <br /> cognition of the City of EverettTelecpmmunlcators and the <br /> vital contributions they make to the safety and well-being of <br /> our community. Judy Campbell, Sno Pec, accepted the <br /> proclamation end deferred the cognition to the Sno Pec <br /> dispatch supervisors at the 911 dispatch center who she brought <br /> with her. She related that the 911 center had been v <br /> existence since 1974 and has gone through a number of changes <br /> that have improved the system. Sheannounced <br /> that the <br /> implementation of a CPD system (computerized dispatch) would <br /> take place next month. She thanked Mayor Kinch for the <br /> proclamation honoring telecommunicators. <br />
