June 24,1992 231 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to <br /> order at 8:30 a.m., June 24, 1992, in the City Council Chamber <br /> of the Everett City Hall, President Gipson presiding. Upon <br /> roll call it was found that Mayor Kinch and all councilmen were <br /> present. <br /> Councilman Anderson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the June 17, 1992 City Council meeting and <br /> minutes of the June 3, 1992 Public Hearings were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Kinch reported that he attended the Mayors Conference in <br /> Houston this past week. Hearing the economic woes of other <br /> cities around the country makes one appreciate our economic <br /> situation. <br /> ' ' ' • <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilman Pope introduced Mary Charles, Chair of the Sligo <br /> Sister City Program. she explained that two students from <br /> Sligo would be spending their summer in Everett working for the <br /> Public Works Department. They were introduced to <br /> councilmembers. Robert Beardemphl, Everett Community College, <br /> thanked the councilmembers for their support of the sister city <br /> program with Ireland. <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> Councilman Overstreet introduced a resolution regarding the <br /> proposed relationship agreement with Snohomish County Tomorrow <br /> as prepared by the Planning Department. <br /> Moved by Councilman Diamond, seconded by Councilman Overstreet <br /> to adopt Resolution No. 3637 concerning the City's relationship <br /> relative to Snohomish County TOmorrOW as folloys, <br /> WHEREAS, Snohomish County and the cities located therein have <br /> experienced substantial growth in the past decade, and this <br /> trend is expeCted to continue for the remainder of this decade; <br /> and <br />
