296 <br /> August 19,1992 <br /> CThe regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to <br /> order at 7:00 p.m., August 19, 1992, in the City Council <br /> Chambers of the Everett City Hall, President Gipson presiding. <br /> Upon roll call it was found that Mayor Kinch and all councilmen <br /> were present except Councilman Campbell who was excused. <br /> The senior patrol leaderfrom Scout Troop 412,sponsored by the <br /> Latter Day Saints Church,led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the August 12, 1992 City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed with Councilmen Anderson and Pope <br /> abstaining from the vote.- <br /> MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br /> yH0orOd <br /> 1 <br /> 991' Ce Heelth Unit <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilman Overstreet asked the Mayor to update the Council on <br /> the status of the County-Wide Policies. Mayer Minch presented <br /> memo to Council regarding the Snohomish County Tomorrow <br /> Steering Committee retreat to discuss the proposed County-Wide <br /> Planning Policies. <br /> The Mayor recommended that the City representation be <br /> expanded. He recommended that Councilman Overstreet remain as <br /> the representative with full authority to cast any vote on <br /> behalf of Everett. He recommended that Bob be accompanied by <br /> Paul Roberta and, to the extent possible, either the-Mayor or <br /> CAA Jerry Vrooman may participate in part of the retreat. The <br /> Mayor asked for this action to assure that Everett's interests <br /> are protected and that Everett is in a position to work <br /> effectively with all other jurisdictions. He also asked that <br /> Paul Roberts join Bob Overstreet to represent the city's <br /> interest at all Snohomish County TOMO.. Executive Committee <br /> Meetings. <br /> Moved by Councilman Overstreet, seconded by Councilman Diamond <br />• to approve the Mayor's recommendationm to increase the City's <br /> representation in Snohomish County Tomorrow Executive Committee <br /> to include Paul Roberts and to include the participation of <br /> Paul Roberts, Jerry Yrooman and Mayor Kinch in the retreat to <br /> be held on September 11,and 12,1202. <br />• <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes except <br /> Councilman Campbell who vms excused. <br /> ( Motion carried. <br /> . , <br />
