392 <br /> October 28,1992 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to <br /> order at 8:30 a.m., October 28, 1992, in the City Council <br /> Chambers of the Everett City Hall,-President Gipson presiding. <br /> Upon roll call it was found that Mayor Kinch and all councilmen <br /> were present. <br /> Councilman Overstreet led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the October 21, 1992 City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. Councilman Moser abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Kinch reported that his trip to Jackson,Mississippi, in <br /> order to bid for hosting the Neighborhood conference was <br /> unsuccessful. Pasadena, California was selected. Several <br /> conferences having been hsld in the Northwest and California,s <br /> lack of membership are the probable reasons for Pasadena, <br /> successful bid. <br /> Mayor Kinch commented that Platt Electric OuPP1Y, .ne. ha. <br /> donated 300 smoke detectors to the Pinehorst Neighborhood, a <br /> significant contribution. <br /> PROCLAMATIONS <br /> Mayor Kinch commended the Salvation Army, Everett, Washington <br /> Corps,for 100 years of committed, compassionate service to the <br /> citizens of the City of Everett. Captain Ted Lowcock accepted <br /> the groclamation. <br /> • <br /> October 28, 1992 was proclaimed Charles B. Ogden Day in <br /> recognition of Mr. Ogden's achievements, outstanding efforts <br /> and community endeavors. <br /> SPECIAL VISITOR <br /> Ralph Mackey, Sister Cities introduced Mr. Tag., a <br /> councilmenberVphotographer visiilog from our Sister City, <br /> Iwakuni,Japan. <br /> C <br />
