October 18,2000 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 7:00 <br /> p.m.,October 18,2000,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> Vice President Simpson presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Hansen and Couocihnemben Anderson,Simpson,Warnock,Gipson,Pope and <br /> Overstreet were present.Councilmmtber Campbell was excused. <br /> City Attorney Soine led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the October 11,2000 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> CITATION OF HEROISM <br /> Fire Chief Terry OBu recognized Steve Bush for saving the life of a 58 year old <br /> Everett man who was napped in his truck after an accident in the Group Health <br /> Medical Center parking garage. He presented him with a certificate of <br /> appreciation. <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Hansen proclaimed October 28,2000 as"Marching Band Day"in the <br /> City of Everett and urged cifoaso to attend the performance at the Berea <br /> Memorial Stadium by students from all over the Northwest.He presented the <br /> proclamation to Lee Stigerwald,Puget Sound Festival of Banda,who thanked <br /> the Mayor and couocihuembers for their support. <br /> Mayor Hauxo intraducd Doolittle Soriano and his citizenship class who are <br /> learning about government. <br /> 045 <br />
