November 28,2001 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to oNer at 8:30 a.m., <br /> November 28,2001,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Had <br /> President Simpson presiding.Upon roll call it was fund that Mayor Hoven and <br /> Councifarmbers Anderson,Simpson,Warnock,Gipson,Campbell,Pope and <br /> Overstreet were present. <br /> Kate Uptagmlf led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> Councilmembei Gipson requested that the minutes of the November 21,2001 City <br /> Council meeting be corrected to indicate that he voted no regarding the <br /> nomination of Prank Anderson ae Council President for the year 2002. The <br /> minutes were then approved with the inclusion of that correction.P. <br /> �,50 <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Hansen announced that M will be presenting Re annual employes service <br /> awards on Friday m city employees who have worked 5,10,15,20,25,30 and 35 <br /> years for the City of Everett. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> CouncdMember Gipson reported that he attended a benefit sponsored by <br /> AFSCME#113 to raise money for the American Red Cross and the September <br /> 11°Disaster. <br /> PRESIDENT <br /> DECA <br /> President Simpson introduced Kate UpragafA,President of the Everett High <br /> School DECA Club.She explained that DECA(Distributive Education Clubs of <br /> America)is made up of marketing students.The club is very involved in making <br /> the community aware of DELA She tit M many activities and events that they <br /> are currently undMaking <br /> 511 <br />
