July 2,2003 <br /> A meeting of the Everett City Council was called to eider at e:30 a.m., <br /> July 2,2003,in the City Council Chamber of the Everett City Hell, <br /> President He0oe presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Anderson;President Hallos,Council Members Krell,Olson,Gipson, <br /> Campbell,Overstreet,and Pope were present. <br />• Council Member Krell led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />• <br /> The minutes of the June 25,2003 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed.Council Member Krell abstained from the vote. <br /> MAVOR <br /> Mayor Anderson reminded everyone that(here are several events <br /> planned for the 45 of July holiday in Everett. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Gipson brought forth a concern that there were only a <br /> few sponsors for the 4tl1 of July fireworks display.He suggested that the <br /> City Council use a portion of the Council Contingency Fund to help with <br /> this years fire works display otherwise the display will be only ten to <br /> twelve minutes long. <br /> Moved by Councll Member Gipson to allocate$15,000 from the <br /> Council Contingency Fund with conditions set forth by the City <br /> Attorney in order to help fund this years 4w of July fireworks display. <br /> A long discussion ensued regarding this issue. <br /> The meson died for lack of second. <br /> Council Member Pope informed everyone that 2n0 and 3i°graders have <br /> been working on a flower project for Mukllteo Boulevard. They started <br /> seeds and then planted them along the boulevard. <br /> 204 <br />
