September 27,2006 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 • <br /> a.m.,September 27,2006,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett <br /> City Hall,President Stonecipher presiding.Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephenson and Council Members Roberts,Hatloe,Gipson, <br /> Nielsen,Stonecipher,and Overstreet were present. Council Member <br /> Olson was excused. <br /> Mayor Stephenson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the September 20,2008 City Council were approved as <br /> printed.Council Member Overstreet abstained from the vote. <br /> AVOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson stated that the Higher Education Coordinating Board <br /> will meet at 3 p.m.in Olympia today to hear the recommendations of <br /> Snohomish,Island,and Skagit Counties regarding a noun year stand alone <br /> college. <br /> FIRE MARSHALL <br /> Fire Chief Murray Gordon introduced the Everett Fire Department's new <br /> Fire Marshall,Glen Martinson,who will replace Warren Burns. <br /> REVENUE UPDATE <br /> Debra Bryant,Chief Financial Officer,spoke regarding the City of <br /> Everett's revenue update for 2006,the 2007 proposed budget balancing, <br /> the 2007 revenue forecast,and the 2006-2011 strategic outlook. <br /> Council Member Gipson requested a report showing the property taxes <br /> paid by the live-a-boards and the Port of Everett compared to the taxes <br /> paid by homeowners. <br />
