March 10,2010 <br /> The regular meeting cite Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m..March 10,2010 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Roberts presiding.Upon roll cell It was found that Mayor <br /> Stephanson and Council Members Roberts,Moore,Hatloe,Nielsen, <br /> Stonecipher and Affholter were present. Council Member Gipson was <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Affholter led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the March 3,2010 Everett City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed.Council Member Roberts abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> APPOINTMENT—DIVERSITY ADVISORY BOARD <br /> Mayor Stephenson requested the city council's concurrence regarding the <br /> appointment of leikhar Al Wadai to the Diversity Advisory Board. <br /> Moved by Council Member Af totter,seconded by Council Member <br /> Hahne to c with the appointment of!hitcher Al Wadai to <br /> Position No.15,Diversity Board,fora four year term ending <br /> September 30,2013. <br /> Roll was celled with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Member Gipson who was excused. <br /> Motion carded. <br /> COUNCIL COMMPNIS <br /> Council Member Nielsen reported on his attendance at the Northwest <br /> High Speed Rail Corridor Conference.He stated that Washington will be <br /> adding two high speed trains to provide service between Seattle and <br /> Portland. He questioned whether consideration had been given to <br /> originating one of the two trains in Everett. He was told there was en <br /> absence of data to support making that decision. <br /> 66 <br />
