ORDINANCE No. 3 o :- <o AY ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 2734 of the City of Everett entitled as follows: "An Ordinance relating' to vehicles and the operation thereof upon the public streets and other ublic places of the City of Everett ; providinr,. for vehicle equipment ; limiting End restricting certain sections of the public streets and other public places of the City of Everett ; prescribing rules of the road for vehicles operating on public streets or other public places of the City of Everett ; de fining offences and fixing penalties; repeal- ing certain ordinances and parts of ordinances in con- flict with the provisions of this ordinance ; saving certain acts performed and declaring an emergency," by adding thereto sections to be known as Sections 55, 56, 57 , 58, 59 , 60, 61, 62 , 63, 64 and 65. THE CITY OF EVEFETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Ordinance No. 2734 of the City of Everett, entitled as above set forth, be , and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto a section to be known as Section 55, which section shall read as follows: Section 55: Any person wilfully violating his written and signed promise to appear in answer to e traffic violation shall be guilty of a misdemeanor regardless of the disposition of the charge upon which he was originally arrested. PFOVIDED, a written promise to appear may be complied with by an appearanc by counsel . Section 2: That Ordinance No. 2734 of the City of Everett , entitled as above set forth, be , and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto a section to be known as Section 56, which section shall read as follows: Section 56 : Whenever it appears reasonably certain to any police officer that any person under the influence of , or affected by the use of , intoxicating liquor or of any narcotic drug is about to operate a motor vehicle in violation of this ordinance , said officer may take reasonable measures to prevent any such person from so doing, either by taking from him the key . of such vehicle and locking same , or by some other appropriate means. Section 3: That Ordinance No. 2734 of the City of Everett , entitled as above set forth, be , and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto a section to be known as Section 57 , which section shall read as follows:
