AY ORDINANCE regulating; the keeping of rabbits, goats, swine, chickens, turkeys, geese, ducks and pigeons within the City of Everett ; providing penalties for the violation thereof, and declaring an emergency. THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: All persons owning or having control or possession of any rabbits, goats, swine, chickens , turkeys, geese , ducks or pigeons within the City of Everett shall keep the sane restrained and enclosed at all times on the premises owned, occupied or controlled by such person in some enclosure , pen or other suitable place. Section 2 : No person shall build or maintain any such structure, pen or enclosure or other place where any chickens turkeys, geese, ducks, pigeons or other domestic fowls or rabbits are kept within Fifty (50 ) feet of any occupied dwelling, apartment house or hotel owned or in the possession of some other person. Section 3: No person shall build, keep or maintain any house or hutch or other enclosure in which rabbits are kept within Ten (10) feet of the boundary of the premises upon which they are built. Section 4: All houses, Dens or enclosures where chickens, turkeys, geese , ducks , pigeons or other domestic fowls or rabbits are kept shall be kept clean and free from disagreeable odors. No organic material furnishing food for flies shall be allowed to accumulate on the premises . Section 5 : It shall be unlawful for any person to own or keep any rooster which crows in such manner as to disturb the peace and quiet of persons in the neighborhood. Section 6: No building, stable, pen or enclosure where goats are kept shall be built or maintained within Three Hund- red(300) feet of any inhabited residence , apartment house or hotel owned or occupied by some person or persons other than the one maintaining such building, stable, pen or enclosure. All such buildings, stables, pens or enclosures shall be kept clean and reasonably free from disagreeable odors. Manure and other refuse shall be kept in fly-proof containers and shall be disposed of at least once each week in a manner approved by the City Heal th Officer. Section 7: No pigsty, piggery or other place where swine are kept shall be built or maintained on marshy ground or land subject to overflow nor within Two Hundred (200) feet of any stream or other source of water su >ply, nor within Three Hundred (300) feet of an inhabited house or public meeting house on ad- joining property.
