<br />A RESOLUTION authorizing next steps for ARPA-funded projects and initiatives.
<br />WHEREAS,
<br />A.The City of Everett is the recipient of $20,695,570 from the Coronavirus Local Fiscal
<br />Recovery Fund, as authorized by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). These funds
<br />represent a one-time opportunity to invest federal dollars toward the City’s most pressing
<br />community challenges and recovery efforts. These funds must be spent within the
<br />guidelines established by the U.S. Treasury, and they are separate from the City’s annual
<br />budget process.
<br />B.At its meetings during 2021-2022, the City Council has previously held briefings and a
<br />workshop for consideration of ARPA investments and approval of some uses of ARPA funds.
<br />As of this briefing, $ $13,920,286 has been approved by Council for projects.

<br />C.In accordance with City Council direction, City staff has brought forward to City Council the
<br />following additional projects and initiatives that are ready for implementation:
