• <br /> 1 u�Y 4� <br /> ORDINANCE 11 o. <br /> p57• <br /> N provicinr for the impioverent of Hewitt <br /> Avenue from the - est N:Nargin of Virginia avenue to Fif t=-seven <br /> ( 57 ) feet -jest of the Hest line of State Street , by removal, <br /> as found necessary , of existing; asphalt; repairing as necessary <br /> existing concrete base and resurfacing pertly by Tortland cement <br /> concrete and partly by reinforced concrete pavement and partly <br /> by a sp halt concrete; construction of concrete curbs and gutters <br /> adjacent to asphalt pavement; construction of integral curbs <br /> and cement concrete pavement; t 10 center strip of existing <br /> concrete pavement to be resurfaced with asphalt concrete and <br /> removal of existinfi sidewalk and construction of new concrete <br /> sidewalks and installation of conduit for future lighting system, <br /> installation of necessary drainage and doing all other work <br /> necessary in con':.ection therewith to make a complete improve- <br /> ment , all in accordance with Resolution No. 4593 of the City of <br /> Everett ; creating an enlarged a ssesanent district, which shall <br /> be divided into a direct benefit distri ct and an indirect benefit <br /> district ; creating a local improvement district; creating a <br /> local improvement district fund therefor ; providing that Fifty- <br /> five percent ( 55%) of the cost of said improvement , including <br /> Four foot strip of sidewalk adjacent to curb, plus fixed estimate, <br /> shall be borne by and assessed against the property liable <br /> therefor , and Sixty-three percent (63%) of the cost of \sidewalk <br /> renewal beyond the Four foot strip adjacent to curb to be <br /> assessed to abutting property, and the balance of the cost of <br /> said improvement shall be paid from the City Street Fund, and <br /> repealing Ordinance No. 2779 of the City of Everett. <br /> WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 4593 of the City of Everett <br /> the City Council has declared its intention to order the improve- <br /> ment, as above outlined, and doing all of the work in connection <br /> therewith to make a complete improvement in accordance with the <br /> plans and specifications prepared by the Engineer of the City <br /> of Everett. <br /> NOW, TP_EREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Hewitt Avenue from the West Margin <br /> of Virginia Avenue to Fifty-seven ( 57 ) feet West of the West <br /> line of State Street be improved by the removal, as found <br /> necessary, of existing asphalt ; repairing as necessary existing <br /> concrete base and resurfacing partly by Portland cement concrete <br /> and partly by reinforced concrete pavement and partly by <br /> asphalt concrete ; construction of concrete curbs and gutters <br /> adjacent to asphalt pavement; construction of integral curbs and <br /> cement concrete pavement ; the center strip of existing concrete <br /> pavement to be resurfaced with asphalt concrete and removal of <br /> existing sidewalk and construction of new concrete sidewalks <br /> and installation of conduit for future lighting system, <br /> installation of necessary drainage and doing all other work <br /> necessary in connection therewith to make a complete improvement <br /> all in accordance with plans and specifications prepared under <br /> the direction of the Engineer of the City of Everett , which plan . <br /> and specifications are hereby approved and adopted. <br />
