• 1 u�Y 4� ORDINANCE 11 o. p57• N provicinr for the impioverent of Hewitt Avenue from the - est N:Nargin of Virginia avenue to Fif t=-seven ( 57 ) feet -jest of the Hest line of State Street , by removal, as found necessary , of existing; asphalt; repairing as necessary existing concrete base and resurfacing pertly by Tortland cement concrete and partly by reinforced concrete pavement and partly by a sp halt concrete; construction of concrete curbs and gutters adjacent to asphalt pavement; construction of integral curbs and cement concrete pavement; t 10 center strip of existing concrete pavement to be resurfaced with asphalt concrete and removal of existinfi sidewalk and construction of new concrete sidewalks and installation of conduit for future lighting system, installation of necessary drainage and doing all other work necessary in con':.ection therewith to make a complete improve- ment , all in accordance with Resolution No. 4593 of the City of Everett ; creating an enlarged a ssesanent district, which shall be divided into a direct benefit distri ct and an indirect benefit district ; creating a local improvement district; creating a local improvement district fund therefor ; providing that Fifty- five percent ( 55%) of the cost of said improvement , including Four foot strip of sidewalk adjacent to curb, plus fixed estimate, shall be borne by and assessed against the property liable therefor , and Sixty-three percent (63%) of the cost of \sidewalk renewal beyond the Four foot strip adjacent to curb to be assessed to abutting property, and the balance of the cost of said improvement shall be paid from the City Street Fund, and repealing Ordinance No. 2779 of the City of Everett. WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 4593 of the City of Everett the City Council has declared its intention to order the improve- ment, as above outlined, and doing all of the work in connection therewith to make a complete improvement in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by the Engineer of the City of Everett. NOW, TP_EREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Hewitt Avenue from the West Margin of Virginia Avenue to Fifty-seven ( 57 ) feet West of the West line of State Street be improved by the removal, as found necessary, of existing asphalt ; repairing as necessary existing concrete base and resurfacing partly by Portland cement concrete and partly by reinforced concrete pavement and partly by asphalt concrete ; construction of concrete curbs and gutters adjacent to asphalt pavement; construction of integral curbs and cement concrete pavement ; the center strip of existing concrete pavement to be resurfaced with asphalt concrete and removal of existing sidewalk and construction of new concrete sidewalks and installation of conduit for future lighting system, installation of necessary drainage and doing all other work necessary in connection therewith to make a complete improvement all in accordance with plans and specifications prepared under the direction of the Engineer of the City of Everett , which plan . and specifications are hereby approved and adopted.
