F k J ORDINANCE No. 2712 AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of the nest side of Rucker Avenue from 44th atreet to 45th street; also the alley between Hoyt avenue and sucker Avenue from 45th street to the existing sewer: orth of 43rd Street, by the construction of a sewer and its necessary appurtenances, and doing all other work in the entire district necessary to make a complete improvement ; 'creating an assessment district; creating a local improvement district fund therefor ;' providing that the paymentfor said improvement be made by special assess- ment on the property in said district under the mode of payment by bonds for materials used, fixed estimate and all other expenses, except( cost of labor furnished by ederal funds under P. A. plan of the ioederal Government . WJ-T REAS , a majority petition of the property owners petitioning for said improvement has heretofore been filed with the City council, and upon examination thereof the said. City Council has found the things set forth therein to be true ; and WEE1EAS , the said petition has been referred to the Commissioner of Public .corks to be examined by the said. Commissioner and the engineer, and the Commissioner of Public :forks has filed with the city 'council all data and informa- tion as required by law; and WZ �,'REAS , said Commissioner of i'ublic iiorks has recommended to the city council that said improvement petitioned for be made, and it appearing to the City council that the public health, convenience and necessity require such improve- ment be made; and WHEREAS , it further appears that such improvement should be made only in the event that federal funds may be secured from the W. P. A. for the payment of labor costs, and the property owners of the district be assessed a sum for the cost of all materials, fixed estimate and all other expenses of every kind not provided for by the Federal Government under W. F. A. , and that such improvement should only be commenced upon the assurance that the y'ederal Govern- ment under -W. F. A. will furnish certain labor costs in connection with said. improvement . NOW, TTTREFORE , THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That the -':nest side of sucker Avenue from 44th Street to 45th Street; also the alley between Hoyt Avenue and sucker Avenue from 45th street to the existing sewer North of 43rd 'street be improved by the construction of a sewer and its necessary appurtenances, and doing all other work in the entire district to make a complete improvement according to the plans and specifications prepared under the direction of the City engineer, which plans and specifications are hereby adopted and approved.
