• ORDINANCE No. 2707 AN ORDINANCE fixing and determining the number of the various officers, assistants, deputies and employees of the City of Everett , prescribing the duties of such oficers , assistants, deputies and employees, fixing their salaries and repealing Ordinances No. 2483, 2627, 2644, 2667, 2674, 2677 and 2685. l'riE CITY OF EVERETT DOS ORDAIN: Section 1: That beginning January 1 , 1937, and on and after said date , the various officers, assistants, Osputies and employees of the City of Everett, in addition to those pro- vided in the City Charter and in Ordinance No. 2691 of the City of Everett, shall be as in this ordinance provided. Section 2: CITY ATTORNEY. There shall be in the office of the City Attorney a stenographer. Said stenographer shall perform such duties as the City Attorney may authorize and direct. Section 3: CITY HALL. There shall be in the City Hall One (1) janitor and One (1) assistant janitor. They shall perform the janitor work in connection with the City Hall. Section 4 : CITY COMMISSIONERS.ISSIO :7ERS. 'Mere shall be in the offices of the city Commissioners One (1) stenographer, (half time) . She shall perform such duties as the Commissi oners shall direct. Section 5: LIBRARY DEPARTMENT. There shall be in the library department the following named officers, assistants and employees: One librarian; one first assistant librarian; one children ' s librarian; one cataloger; one book wagon and circul• - tion librarian; one book wagon and clerical librarian; clerica assistants - office ; clerical assistants - desk; and part time helpers and substitutes. .he librarian shall be in general charge and super- vision of the library department. The other officers and assistants shall perform such duties as pertain to the nature of their office and as authorized and directed by the librarian. DE?ART1ENT OF FIN,!1.,'yCE.
