ORDINANCE NO._ J-, 2 3 An Ordinance relating to the public health, defining 4 healthful temperature and providing for and requiring the 5 maintenance of healthful temperature in certain buildings 6 and places in the City of Everett , providing penalties for 7 violations thereof . 8 9 TEM CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN 10 11 Section 1 : This entire ordinance shall be deemed an 12 exercise of the police power of the State of Washington and 13 of the City of Everett for the protection of the public 14 health, and all its provisions shall be liberally construed 15 for the accomplishment of that purpose. 16 Section 2 : The word "“person" wherever used in this 17 ordinance shall be held and construed to mean and include 18 natural persons, firms, co-partnerships and corporations 19 and other associations of natural persons, whether acting 20 by themselves or by servants, agents, or employees. '.' ords 21 in the present tense shall include the future tense, and 22 in the masculine shall include the feminine and neuter 23 genders, and in the singular shall include the plural, 24 and in the plural shall include the singular. "Healthful 25 temperature" shall mean a temperature of not more than 26 seventy (70) degrees, nor less than sixty-five (65) degrees, 27 Fahrenheit. 28 Section 3 : Every person concerned in the commission 29 of a misdemeanor in violation of this ordinance, whether 30 31 he directly commits the act or omits to do the thing consti- -1..
