• <br /> 1 1954. <br /> ORDINANCE NO._ J-, <br /> 2 <br /> 3 An Ordinance relating to the public health, defining <br /> 4 healthful temperature and providing for and requiring the <br /> 5 maintenance of healthful temperature in certain buildings <br /> 6 and places in the City of Everett , providing penalties for <br /> 7 violations thereof . <br /> 8 <br /> 9 TEM CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN <br /> 10 <br /> 11 Section 1 : This entire ordinance shall be deemed an <br /> 12 exercise of the police power of the State of Washington and <br /> 13 of the City of Everett for the protection of the public <br /> 14 health, and all its provisions shall be liberally construed <br /> 15 for the accomplishment of that purpose. <br /> 16 Section 2 : The word "“person" wherever used in this <br /> 17 ordinance shall be held and construed to mean and include <br /> 18 natural persons, firms, co-partnerships and corporations <br /> 19 and other associations of natural persons, whether acting <br /> 20 by themselves or by servants, agents, or employees. '.' ords <br /> 21 in the present tense shall include the future tense, and <br /> 22 in the masculine shall include the feminine and neuter <br /> 23 genders, and in the singular shall include the plural, <br /> 24 and in the plural shall include the singular. "Healthful <br /> 25 temperature" shall mean a temperature of not more than <br /> 26 seventy (70) degrees, nor less than sixty-five (65) degrees, <br /> 27 Fahrenheit. <br /> 28 <br /> Section 3 : Every person concerned in the commission <br /> 29 <br /> of a misdemeanor in violation of this ordinance, whether <br /> 30 <br /> 31 he directly commits the act or omits to do the thing consti- <br /> -1.. <br />
