<br /> An Ordinance providing for the licensing of pool tables, bill-
<br /> 2 lard tables, pigeon-hole tables, card tables, ten pin alleys, or
<br /> 3 box ball or bowling alleys, or any stand or fixture upon which or
<br /> 4 therein any game of any kind is played or carried on in any manner
<br /> 5 in any public resort , or other place except private homes, providing
<br /> 6 for the licensing of the sale of soft drinks, where the same are
<br /> 7 bought , sold, exchanged or bartered, providing a penalty for the
<br /> 8 violation of any of the provisions of this Ordinance, repealing
<br /> 9 Ordinances To . 1596 and 1907 and declaring an emergency.

<br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN:

<br /> 12 Section 1 : That no person, firm, corporation or other associa-
<br /> 13 tion of persons shall own, keep, operate, or manage in any public
<br /> 14 resort , or in any other place, except in private homes, within the
<br /> 15 City of Everett, any pool table, billiard table, pigeon-hole table,
<br /> 16 card table, ten pin alley, or box ball or bowling alley, or any
<br /> 17 stand or fixture upon which or Wherein any game of any kind is play-
<br /> 18 ed or carried on in any manner in any public resort or any public
<br /> 19 place, except in private homes, and no person, firm, corporation,
<br /> 20 or other association of persons shall own, keep, operate or manage
<br /> 21 any public resort or any other place wherein drinks of any kind,
<br /> 22 commonly called soft drinks, except pure water, are bought, sold,
<br /> 23 exchanged or bartered, within the City of Everett , without first
<br /> 24 obtaining a license as provided in this Ordinance.

<br /> Section 2; The license fee to be charged by said City for
<br /> 26
<br /> ^ing billiard tables, pool tables, pigeon-hole tables, is here-

<br /> y fixed at the sum of $15.00 per year for each table, and for keep-
<br /> 28
<br /> ing ten pin alleys, or box ball or bowling alleys, is hereby fixed

<br /> at the sum of $10 .00 per year, for each ten pin or box ball or bowl-
<br /> 30
<br /> 31 ing alleys, p rovided however, that when a person, firm, corporation
<br /> or any other association of persons shall keep in the same room more
