August 6, 2025 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., August 6, 2025, <br />by President Schwab. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Rhyne, Schwab, Vogeli, <br />Zarlingo, Bader, and Tuohy were present. Council Member Fosse was excused. <br /> <br />Council Member Bader led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Council Member Zarlingo recited the land acknowledgement. <br /> <br />The minutes of the July 23, 2025, meeting were approved. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin offered her condolences on the passing of Carol Jensen, discussed the upcoming <br />Ordinance, and thanked officers for their life saving efforts regarding a recent car fire. <br /> <br /> <br />OATH – POLICE OFFICERS <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Tuohy seconded by Council Member Zarlingo, to concur with the <br />appointments of Lea Catoe, Justin Coker, Rudy Gilgallon, Kevin Lillis, and Christian Miles as new <br />police officers. <br /> <br /> <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council Member Fosse who was <br />excused. <br /> <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />The Deputy City Clerk administered the oath of office and Mayor Franklin pinned the officers with <br />their badges. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />The Council received one (1) written comment and the following members of the public spoke: <br />Paul Roberts <br /> <br />
