August 27, 2025 <br />1 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 12:30 p.m., August 27, <br />2025, by President Schwab. <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Council Members Fosse, Rhyne, Schwab, Vogeli, Zarlingo, Bader <br />and Tuohy were present. Mayor Franklin was excused. <br />Council Member Zarlingo led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Rhyne recited the land acknowledgement. <br />The minutes of the August 20, 2025, meeting were approved. <br />MAYOR <br />Mayor Franklin was excused. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />The following members of the public spoke: Jean Carrillo. <br />COUNCIL <br />Several Council members wished students a happy first week of school, reminded drivers to drive <br />slow in school zones, and commented on speed limit reductions. <br />Council Member Zarlingo commented on a visit at Casino Square. <br />ADMINISTRATION UPDATE <br />Government Affairs Director Jennifer Gregerson commented on the closure of the south Everett <br />Fred Meyer. She also stated Charter Review Committee will open for applications soon. <br />Jennifer welcomed Diane Kamionka and Fatima Ahmed from the NW Innovation Resource Center <br />for an update.
