ORDINANCE NO. <br /> An ordinance amending sections 16, 125; and 137 of <br /> Ordinance no . 1260 of the city of Everett, entitled "An ordinance <br /> regulating the construction, raising, alteration, repair, removal, <br /> maintenance, use, area, height, and equipment of buildings, and <br /> all construction work thereon, providing for the issuance of permits <br /> therefor, and providing for the condemnation of buildings dangerous <br /> to property or persons, within the limits of the city of Everett, <br /> providing a penalty for the violation thereof', and repealing ordinanc- <br /> es numbers 782, 897, 1055, 1062, 1172, 1216, 1218 and all ordinances <br /> and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith", and amending said <br /> ordinance by adding thereto a section to be designated as Section <br /> 178, and declaring an emergency. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 16 of Ordinance No. 1260 of the <br /> city of Everett, passed February 6, 1911, and approved February 7, <br /> 1911, and entitled as above set forth, be, and the same is hereby <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> FEES FOR PERMITS. <br /> Section 16: The fees for the issuance of permits for the <br /> construction, erection, alteration or repair of buildings shall be <br /> determined by the cost of the proposed construction, erection, <br /> alteration or repair, and said fees shall be as follows: A charge of <br /> fifty cents shall be made for building permits when the cost of the <br /> proposed construction, erection, alteration or repair does not <br /> exceed one hundred dollars; and when such cost is over one hundred <br /> dollars and less than one thousand dollars a charge of one dollar <br /> shall be made, and fifty cents shall be charged for each additional <br /> one thousand dollars or fraction thereof; however, in no event shall <br /> the fee exceed the sum of seven dollars and fifty- cents.
