ORDINANCA NO. / 6 p7 <br /> An ordinance amending Section 8 of Ordinance No. 1473 <br /> of the city of Averett, passed November 21, 1912, and entitled "An <br /> Ordinance providing for the licensing and regulating of the traffic <br /> in intoxicating liquor within the city of Averett, providing <br /> penalties for the violation thereof, and repealing all ordinances <br /> in conflict herewith and declaring an emergency". <br /> Section 1: That Ordinance No. 1473 of the city of Averett, <br /> passed November 21, 1912, and entitled as above set forth, be, and <br /> the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 8: It shall be unlawful for any person to engage <br /> in the occupation of bar tender or to engage in the business of wait- <br /> ing upon the customers or serving any of the customers of any <br /> licensed liquor dealer in the city of Averett without first having <br /> obtained a license therefor, and it shall be unlawful for any <br /> licensed liquor dealer in the city of Averett to employ any bar <br /> tender or other person to serve his patrons with any intoxicating <br /> liquor unless the person so employed shall first obtain a license <br /> so to do. Any person desiring to obtain a license as bar tender or <br /> to wait upon and serve patrons of any licensed liquor dealer, shall <br /> file with the City Clerk application for such license. Said appli- <br /> cation shall conform in all respects to the applications required <br /> to be filed by persons desiring to secure license as provided in <br /> Section 7 of this ordinance; provided, that it shall not be necessary <br /> to accompany such application with certificates of character, as <br /> provided in said section. No license fee shall be charged for <br /> such license. If such application is approved by the City Council <br /> license shall be issued to said applicant upon filing a bond with <br /> the City Clerk in the sum of One Hundred ($100) Dollars, approved <br />
