ORDINANCA NO. / 6 p7 An ordinance amending Section 8 of Ordinance No. 1473 of the city of Averett, passed November 21, 1912, and entitled "An Ordinance providing for the licensing and regulating of the traffic in intoxicating liquor within the city of Averett, providing penalties for the violation thereof, and repealing all ordinances in conflict herewith and declaring an emergency". Section 1: That Ordinance No. 1473 of the city of Averett, passed November 21, 1912, and entitled as above set forth, be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 8: It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in the occupation of bar tender or to engage in the business of wait- ing upon the customers or serving any of the customers of any licensed liquor dealer in the city of Averett without first having obtained a license therefor, and it shall be unlawful for any licensed liquor dealer in the city of Averett to employ any bar tender or other person to serve his patrons with any intoxicating liquor unless the person so employed shall first obtain a license so to do. Any person desiring to obtain a license as bar tender or to wait upon and serve patrons of any licensed liquor dealer, shall file with the City Clerk application for such license. Said appli- cation shall conform in all respects to the applications required to be filed by persons desiring to secure license as provided in Section 7 of this ordinance; provided, that it shall not be necessary to accompany such application with certificates of character, as provided in said section. No license fee shall be charged for such license. If such application is approved by the City Council license shall be issued to said applicant upon filing a bond with the City Clerk in the sum of One Hundred ($100) Dollars, approved
