CALL • <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> An ordinance providing for the licensing and regulating <br /> of Junk Dealers, Second-Hand Dealers, and Pawnbrokers in the city of <br /> Everett, prescribing penalties for the violation thereof,, repealing <br /> Ordinances numbers 286, 437 and all ordinances and parts of ordinances <br /> in conflict herewith, and declaring an emergency. <br /> THE CITY` OF_2VFR 'r^ DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Se •,-No:.person shall engage in the business of deal- <br /> ing in junk„ vise .ond hand goods and merchandise,; except second hand <br /> furniture, or egg e '4usite ss of pawnbroker in the city of Everett, <br /> without first obtain nga license the <br /> Section F i"Th,e purpose of this o `e and other <br /> ordinances relating. to theowtW4TvAaMedsdpalers, any person engaged in the <br /> 714°-1 <br /> L . <br /> ;business of dealing in second hand g, ods,.. wares, ..no merchandise„ except <br /> second hand furniture, or engaged in the business of dealing in junk of <br /> any kind, shall be deemed a second hand dealer„ Whether engaged in such <br /> business in %hole or in part; and for such purposes any person whose <br /> business or Occupation in whole or in part is to take or receive by <br /> pledge, pawn, or exchange) any goods, wares, or merchandise, or any kind <br /> of personal property whatsoever, for the security of any money lent <br /> thereon, shall be deemed a pawnbroker. <br /> Section 3: Any person desiring to secure any of the licens- <br /> es named herein shall 'first make written application to the Commissioner <br /> of Safety of said city,, describing the premises by street and number <br /> where said business is to be carried on, and such other information as <br /> said Commissioner may require. If satisfied that a license s _ould be <br /> issued to the applicant, said Commissioner shall give his written consent, <br /> addressed to the City Clerk, permitting the granting of such license. <br /> Section : Before any such license shall be issued the <br /> applicant or applicants shall execute a bond to the city of Everett in <br />
