April 8, 2026 <br />1 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., April 8, 2026, by <br />President Schwab. <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Council Members Weir, Schwab, Burbano, Zarlingo, Bader, and <br />Tuohy were present. Mayor Franklin and Council Member Rhyne were excused. <br />Council Member Tuohy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Bader recited the land acknowledgement. <br />MAYOR <br />Mayor Franklin was excused. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The minutes of the April 1, 2026, meeting were approved. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Council received one written comment and the following members of the public spoke: June <br />Scholer, William Parent, and Jean Carillo. <br />COUNCIL <br />Council Member Weir commented on her attendance at the following events and meetings: <br />Snohomish County Council District 2 Townhall, Emerging Leaders Snohomish County 2026, <br />Greater Everett Chamber of Commerce’s Game On Everett, and the Parks and Built Committee. <br />She also announced the following upcoming events: Music at the Marina Lineup Announcement <br />Party, Future of Light Rail Town Hall, Arbor Day Tree Planting, Farmers Market preseason popup, <br />the Wendt Awards, the Charter Review Committee Public Meeting, and various neighborhood <br />meetings. <br />Council Member Zarlingo commented on his attendance at the Parks and Built Committee <br />meeting and provided information for Everett Rowing Association’s Learn to Row programs.
