ORDINANCE NO. \ vlV An Ordinance, levying the general taxes for the City of Everett for the fiscal year commencing January 1, 1913, on all tax- able property, both real and personal, in said city subject to taxation therein for the purpose of raising sufficient revenue to carry on the different departments of said city for the ensuing fiscal year, as required by the Charter of said city, prescribing and apportioning the same among the different funds of said city for said fiscal year, providing for the collection thereof, and repealing all ordinances in conflict therewith. WHEREAS, on the 3rd day of September,, 1912, . the City Council did; duly and regularly adopt an estimate of the amount required to meet the public expenses of said city for the ensu- ing year and the amount to be raised by taxation in said city for said ensuing year and the estimated amount of the receipts for the ensuing year from sources other than direct taxation; and WHEREAS,, said estimates together with the notice that said city council would meet on the first Tuesday in October, 1912, at the City Hall of said City for the purpose of making tax levies, as stated in said estimates, was published for three (3 ) consec- utive weeks in the official newspaper of said city,. in all re- spects as required by law; and WHEREAS, said time for considering said estimates and tax levies has now arrivedi and said City Council, having heard all taxpayers appearing in favor of or against said proposed tax levies, does hereby make, determine and decide the amount of taxes; to be levied upon the current assessment rolls to be the sum of One Hundred Fifty-nine Thousand, Three Hundred Eighteen and No/100 Dollars: ($159,31g.00 ) apportioned as hereinafter described. NOW THEREFORE,, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN:
