. <br /> 0RDI NA :NCENoP/ 7 <br /> An ordinance providing for the submission, to the quali- <br /> fied voters of the city of Everett, at the election to be held on <br /> the 5th day of November, 1912, a proposed amendment to the new <br /> charter of the city of Everett, providing that a certain per cent <br /> of the value of certain property, for certain years, and thereafter <br /> all said property and certain other property, shall be exempt from <br /> taxation for municipal purposes. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That a proposed amendment to the new charter of <br /> the city of Everett, providing that a certain per cent of the value <br /> of certain property, for certain years, and thereafter all said <br /> property and certain other property, shall be exempt from taxation <br /> for municipal purposes, be submitted to,A, qualifiedt4Tio ° the <br /> city of Everett at a general election to be held on the 5th day of <br /> November, 1912. <br /> Sec . 2: That said proposed amendment be submitted in the <br /> form of a proposed ordinance, which proposed ordinance shall be as <br /> follows, to-wit: <br /> o ORDINANCE No. <br /> An ordinance amending the new charter of the city of Everett <br /> by adding thereto Article No. XVII, which provides that a certain <br /> per cent of the value of certain property, for certain years, and <br /> thereafter all said property and certain other property, shall be <br /> exempt from taxation for municipal purposes. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> That the new charter of the city of Everett, be, and the <br /> same is hereby amended by adding thereto Article XVII, said article <br /> to read as follows: <br /> ARTICLE XVII. <br /> Single Tax . . . <br /> Section 154: The assessment, levy and collection of taxes <br /> on real and personal property for all corporate or municipal purposes <br /> of the city of Everett to provide for the payment of debts and <br /> expenses thereof shall be uniform in respect to persons and property <br /> therein; provided, that for the year 1913 there shall be-,exempt <br />
