EL/F/�ETT ORDINANCE NO. 3 3 6 0-13 An Ordinance relating to Parks, Adding seven new sections to Ordinance No. 3471 (the City Park Code), amending Ordinance Nos. 3471, 889-82, 1615-89, and 2442-00 as provided in Section 43 herein, and Repealing a section of the City Park Code. Whereas,the City of Everett Park Code was last updated in 2000; and Whereas, the City of Everett Park Code needs to be updated to reflect current state and local law; and Whereas, the City of Everett City Council finds that the provisions of this Ordinance are necessary for the public health, safety and welfare. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: Section 4 of Ordinance 3471, as amended by Section 11 of Ordinance 2442-00 (EMC 9.06.020), which reads as follows: Definitions. The terms herein used,unless clearly contrary to or inconsistent with the context in which used, shall be construed as follows: A. "Park commission"means the members of the park commission of the city; B. "Park"means and includes all city parks, public squares, park drives, parkways, boulevards, golf courses, park museums, zoos, bathing beaches, and play and recreation grounds under the jurisdiction of the park commission. Is hereby amended to read as follows: Definitions. The terms herein used,unless clearly contrary to or inconsistent with the context in which used, shall be construed as follows: A. "Board of Park Commissioners"means the advisory board, established by City Charter, which acts in an advisory capacity to the Mayor, City Council, Department of Parks and Recreation and other city departments in respect to park and recreation matters;
