y_N w. <br /> ,IIPP <br /> Ab/MmMa <br /> EVERETT CITY COUNCIL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 5601 <br /> A Resolution of the City Council <br /> approving the Frauenholtz Request to amend the <br /> Comprehensive Plan Map from a designation of <br /> Single Family (1.2) to Multiple Family (1.6) <br /> and rezone from R-2 (Single Family) to <br /> R-3 (Multiple Family Medium Density), for a properties located <br /> on the north side of Pecks Drive at Cady Road. <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett adopted its Comprehensive Plan in August, 1994, in <br /> conformance with the Washington State Growth Management Act; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Growth Management Act, codified as Chapter 36.70A, allows for <br /> comprehensive plans to be considered for amendment on an annual basis; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett initiated its 2004 annual comprehensive plan amendment <br /> process in July, 2004; and <br /> WHEREAS,the proposed action(Exhibit "A") is to amend the Comprehensive Plan Map from <br /> a Designation of Single Family(1.2)to Multiple Family(1.6) or Neighborhood Business (4.1) <br /> and rezone from R-2 (Single Family) to R-3 (Multiple Family Medium Density) or B-1 <br /> (Neighborhood Shopping); and <br /> WHEREAS,the Planning Commission held two public hearings on the matter on February 1, <br /> 2005 and continued it to March 1, 2005, at which time they had public testimony and heard from <br /> the applicant, citizens and a staff presentation and considered the various aspects of the proposal; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, on March 1, 2005,the Everett Planning Commission recommended City Council <br /> deny the application. <br /> - 1 - <br />
