• <br /> RESOLUTION NO 5478 <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor to sign the necessary <br /> documents for transferring property liens and Community <br /> Development Block Grant funding from the South Everett Youth <br /> and Community Center to the Boys and Girls Club of Snohomish <br /> County as approved by the City Attorney. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett recognizes the need for certain housing <br /> and community development programs in Everett; and <br /> WHEREAS, funds have been made available through the Department of Housing and Urban <br /> Development to provide for those programs; and <br /> WHEREAS, Everett Community Development Block Grant rehabilitation loans in the amount <br /> of $44,864.00 in 1997, $4,000.00 in 1997, and $68.000.00 in 1999 were made to the South <br /> Everett Youth and Community Center, and <br /> WHEREAS, Everett Community Development Block Grant unused funding from 2002 and <br /> 2003 to the South Everett Youth and Community Center remains in the amount of$19,824.00, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the South Everett Youth and Community Center has asked the Boys and Girls <br /> Club of Snohomish County to take over their property and operations, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Boys and Girls Club of Snohomish County Board of Directors has approved <br /> taking over the South Everett Youth and Community Center property and operations if the <br /> City of Everett will transfer property liens and service funding to the Boys and Girls Club of <br /> Snohomish County. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT THAT: <br /> I. The City of Everett will transfer all property liens it holds against property, located at <br /> 7628 Cascade Drive in Everett, from the South Everett Youth and Community Center to <br /> the Boys and Girls Club of Snohomish County, subject to the transfer of the property <br /> from the South Everett Youth and Community Center to the Boys and Girls Club of <br /> Snohomish County being completed. All conditions of the original loans are to be <br /> continued after the transfer. <br /> II. Upon the transfer of the property located at 7628 Cascade Drive from the South Everett <br /> Youth and Community Center to the Boys and Girls Club of Snohomish County, the <br />
