• <br /> • <br /> '40 <br /> . r <br /> • <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2084-95 <br /> • <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 1561-89 and authorizing <br /> sewer utility funding to encourage installations of sanitary <br /> sewers in unsewered areas of the City and establishing rates <br /> and charges related thereto. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1561-89, which reads as follows: <br /> "Section 1: The Everett Sewer Utility is authorized to pay $4,000 per parcel to <br /> encourage formation of Local Improvement Districts for the sole purpose of or which <br /> include the construction of sanitary sewers." <br /> is hereby amended to read hereafter as follows: <br /> Section 1: The Everett Sewer Utility is authorized to pay up to $4,000 per <br /> single-family residence to encourage formation of Local Improvement Districts for the <br /> sole purpose of constructing public sanitary sewers or which include the construction of <br /> public sanitary sewers. <br /> In addition, the Everett Sewer Utility is authorized to pay up to <br /> $4,000 per single-family residence toward the City's cost of constructing public sanitary <br /> sewers in small, residential areas within the City's corporate limits that are not served by <br /> sanitary sewers. <br /> In all cases, the $4,000 City payments shall apply only to single- <br /> family residences that exist at the time the public sewer mains are constructed. Also, the <br /> $4,000 payments shall be made in the form of credits deducted from the residences' <br /> proportionate shares of the City's cost of constructing the sanitary sewers. The $4,000 <br /> payments shall not be rebates or cash disbursements to new sewer customers. Further, the <br /> $4,000 payments apply only to single-family residences benefiting from public sanitary <br /> sewer mains constructed by city crews or by construction contractors officially retained by <br /> the City of Everett. <br /> 2. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 1561-89, which reads as follows: <br /> "Section 3: A refunding surcharge of$13.32 per month for single family <br /> residences and $13.32 per 900 cu. ft. of water usage per month for metered customers <br /> shall be charged to sewer system customers in LID's receiving sewer system payments, as <br /> provided in Section 1 above, commencing with connection to the Everett sewer system or <br /> pursuant to Ordinance No. 1164-85 (EMC 14.08.250)." <br />
