The trail proceeds along Maple
Road, under the SR 525 overpass and over I-5 on the existing Maple Road bridge. Turning south on
Butternut Road, the trail follows the road shoulder to a section of vacated County road right-of-way
(R/W) parallel to Maple Road, (presently owned by the Public Utility District No. 1 of Snohomish
County (PUD)) then under the Maple Road overpass; continuing north on the PUD R/W (aka the
"Pacific Northwest Traction Company (PNT) R/W") to the southwest corner of the land owned by
Eldec, Inc.
After crossing the south side of the Eldec property to 13th Avenue West, the trail turns northerly
along 13th Avenue, crossing 164th and continuing to 160th.
