December 2, 2015 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., December 2, 2015, in the City Council Chambers of the William <br /> E. Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Bader presiding. Upon roll <br /> call, it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, <br /> Moore, Murphy, Gipson, Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the November 25, 2015, City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. Council member Gipson abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson reported on a meeting with the Snohomish County <br /> Council last Monday regarding the finalization of an amendment to the <br /> agreement for jail services. <br /> The Mayor also commented on his attendance at the 2015 Mayor's Arts <br /> Awards celebration held at the Everett Performing Arts Center. <br /> Police Chief Templeman introduced Derek Shelton, the City's newest <br /> police officer. <br /> OATH OF OFFICE — POLICE OFFICER <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts, seconded by Council Member <br /> Murphy, to concur with the appointment of Derek Shelton as a new <br /> police officer. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The City Clerk administered the oath of office and Mayor Stephanson <br /> presented him with his badge. <br /> 388 <br />
