1 ORDINANCE NO. //D 5 �S <br /> 2 <br /> AN ORDINANCE increasing the number of zoning categories by amending <br /> 3 Section 1 of Ordinance No. 187-72 (Section 19.06.010 EMC). <br /> 4 <br /> 5 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the City has adopted additional zoning <br /> 6 categories which need to be incorporated into the official listing of zoning categories; <br /> 7 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 8 Section 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 187-72 (Section 19.06.010 EMC) <br /> 9 reads as follows: <br /> 10 <br /> "Mapped zones established. For the purpose of this chapter, the City of <br /> 11 Everett is hereby divided into fourteen categories of zones designated as <br /> follows: <br /> 12 <br /> Agricultural use zone A-1 <br /> 13 Single-family suburban residential zone R-S <br /> Single-family low density residence zone R-1 <br /> 14 Single-family high density residence zone R-2 <br /> Multiple-family low density residence zone R-3 <br /> 15 Multiple-family high density residence zone R-4 <br /> Core Area residential zone R-5 <br /> 16 Neighborhood shopping zone B-1 <br /> Community shopping zone B-2 <br /> 17 Central business zone B-3 <br /> General commercial zone C-i <br /> 18 Heavy commercial--light manufacturing zone C-2 <br /> Heavy manufacturing zone M-1 <br /> 19 Landing field zone L-F <br /> 20 The above categories of zones and the boundaries of such zones are <br /> hereby established as shown on the map entitled 'Everett Zoning Map.' <br /> 21 Said map or parts thereof are hereby made a part of this chapter. The <br /> zoning map and each amendment thereto, when duly certified, shall be <br /> 22 filed in the office of the City Clerk. <br /> • <br /> 23 Where uncertainty exists as to any of such boundaries, as shown on said <br /> map, the following rules shall apply: <br /> 24 <br /> A. Where such boundaries are indicated as approximately following <br /> 25 the centerline of roads, streets, highways, alleys, railroads or <br /> streams, such centerline shall be construed to be such boundaries. <br /> 26 <br /> B. Where such boundaries are indicated as approximately following lot <br /> 27 or tract lines, such lot or tract shall be construed to be such <br /> boundaries. <br /> 28 <br /> C. Tidelands; tidal flats; that portion of Puget Sound including that <br /> 29 part commonly called Port Gardner Bay, adjacent to the City of <br /> Everett, and that portion of the Snohomish River adjacent to the <br /> 30 City of Everett between the uplands fronting thereon and over any <br /> tidelands or shorelands intervening between such upland boundary <br /> 31 and any such waters to be the middle of such sounds, bays, or <br /> rivers, shall be considered to be within the same land use zone as <br /> 32 the adjacent land, as shown on the zoning map. <br />
