SUBSTATIONS 11-1 AND 11-2 SECTION 26 11 16 <br /> PROJECT#22349762 SECONDARY UNIT SUBSTATIONS <br /> BOEING - EVERETT SITE SERVICES <br /> be replaced. The warranty is to include labor and material, and the repairs are to be <br /> performed at the site of the equipment installation and at the date and time scheduled by <br /> the Owner. <br /> PART2- PRODUCTS <br /> 2.01 GENERAL <br /> A. Equipment shall be UL Listed. Alternate means of having equipment acceptable for <br /> installation and operation by authority having jurisdiction shall be identified as part of the <br /> bid. <br /> B. The enclosure of the unit substation and each subassembly contained therein shall be in <br /> accordance with the protection requirements of NEMA ICS 2005 and shall be suitable for <br /> indoor use. <br /> C. The equipment shall be suitable for installation in a location accessible to qualified <br /> personnel and authorized personnel only. <br /> D. The components of the unit substation shall be coordinated by the manufacturer(s) for <br /> bolt-together assembly, flush-front arrangement. <br /> E. Provide access to all equipment via hinged doors. <br /> 1. Primary switches shall have heavy duty 3-point handle-type latch mechanism on the <br /> front and rear door. All latch mechanisms shall have provisions for padlocking. <br /> 2. Front compartments of the low voltage switchgear shall have latches. <br /> 3. All other doors shall utilize captive bolts (transition sections, transformer access <br /> doors and rear of low voltage switchgear). All captive bolts shall be 6-point, and shall <br /> engage welded nuts in the equipment structure, not tapped holes in sheet metal, <br /> cage nuts, or nuts affixed by a pressure process. The maximum width of doors must <br /> not exceed 24 inches unless identified specifically as a deviation and approved in <br /> writing. <br /> F. Provide each shipping section of the equipment with provisions for overhead lifting. <br /> G. Provide the base of each shipping section suitable for rolling on pipes or skates, and for <br /> fork lift transportation. <br /> H. All internal steel components shall be painted ANSI 61. All external steel components <br /> shall be painted the same shade of ANSI 61 light gray. The painting system shall include <br /> cleaning, phosphating, and an electro statically applied finish coat. <br /> I. All hardware used in the equipment shall be grade 5. Access and operating handles <br /> shall be stainless steel, zinc or cadmium plated. The exterior of outdoor equipment shall <br /> have hardware, exposed unpainted metal components, access handles, and operating <br /> handles of stainless steel only. <br /> J. The main metering compartment's meters and displays shall be completely readable from <br /> an eye level of 5 feet. Switchgear metering compartments' meters and displays shall be <br /> less than 6 feet. <br /> 2611 16 -5 <br /> (07/15/18) <br />
