Power driven equipment shall not cause ruts, deformation, and <br /> 5 compaction of the vegetated soil. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 4. Removing clippings is required on the traveled way, shoulders, <br /> 8 walkways, or Structures. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 5. Restore soil rutting to a smooth and even grade at the direction of the I <br /> 11 Engineer. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 8-02.3(16)B Ditch Maintenance I <br /> 14 The Contractor shall maintain drainage for the duration of the Contract according <br /> 15 to the following requirements: <br /> 16 <br /> 17 1. Maintain flow lines in drainage channels and roadside ditches. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 2. Cutting or trimming vegetation within drainage channels to maintain <br /> 20 positive flow. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 3. Remove dirt and debris from inside of culverts or any drainage area <br /> 23 where runoff has allowed accumulations and re-seed for erosion control. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 4. Restore channels to previous operational condition. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 8-02.4 Measurement <br /> 28 Topsoil, bark or woodchip mulch and soil amendments will be measured by the acre or the <br /> 29 square yard along the grade and slope of the area covered immediately after placement. <br /> 30 Weed control pre-treatment of topsoil areas, excavation, and stockpiling are included in the <br /> 31 bid item "Topsoil Type . <br /> 32 32 <br /> 33 Bark or woodchip mulch rings will be measured per each. I <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Compost will be measured by the acre or the square yard along the grade and slope of the <br /> 36 area covered immediately after application. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Seeding, fertilizing, and mulching will be measured by the acre or the square yard by <br /> 39 ground slope measurement or through the use of design data. <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Seeding and fertilizing by hand will be measured by the square yard.
