I <br /> 1 1 1-04 Scope of the Work <br /> 2 <br /> I 3 1-04.2 Coordination of Contract Documents, Plans, Special Provisions <br /> 4 Specifications, and Addenda <br /> 5 Section 1-04.2 is modified to read as follows: <br /> i 6 <br /> 7 Any inconsistency in the parts of the contract shall be resolved by following this order of <br /> 8 precedence (e.g., 1 presiding over 2, 2 over 3, 3 over 4, and so forth): <br /> 9 <br /> I10 1. Change Orders, <br /> 11 2. Addenda, <br /> I 12 3. Contract, <br /> 13 4. Proposal Form, <br /> 14 5. Special Provisions, <br /> I <br /> 15 6. Contract Plans, <br /> 16 7. Amendments to WSDOT Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal <br /> 17 Construction, <br /> I 18 8. WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal <br /> 19 Construction, <br /> 20 9. Contracting Agency's Standard Plans (if any), and <br /> I 21 <br /> 22 10. WSDOT/APWA Standard Plans for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction. <br /> 23 On the Contract Plans, Working Drawings, and Standard Plans, figured dimensions shall <br /> I 24 take precedence over scaled dimensions. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 This order of precedence shall not apply when Work is required by one part of the Contract <br /> I 27 but omitted from another part or parts of the Contract. The Work required in one part must <br /> 28 be furnished even if not mentioned in other parts of the Contract. <br /> 29 <br /> I30 If any part of the Contract requires Work that does not include a description for how the <br /> 31 Work is to be performed, the Work shall be performed in accordance with standard trade <br /> 32 practice(s). For purposes of the Contract, a standard trade practice is one having such <br /> 33 regularity of observance in the trade as to justify an expectation that it will be observed by <br /> I <br /> 34 the Contractor in doing the Work. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 In case of any ambiguity or dispute over interpreting the Contract, the Engineer's decision <br /> I 37 will be final as provided in Section 1-05.2. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 Section 1-04.2 is supplemented as follows: <br /> 40 <br /> I <br /> 41 1-04.2(1) Interpretation of Specifications and Drawings <br /> 42 The Specifications and Drawings are intended to be explanatory and supportive of each <br /> 43 other. Work specified on the Drawings and not in the Specifications, or vice versa, shall be <br /> I 44 executed as if specified in both. In the event the Work to be done or matters relative <br /> 45 thereto are not sufficiently detailed or explained in the Contract Documents, the Contractor <br /> 46 shall immediately ask the Owner's Representative for further explanation and shall comply <br /> I <br /> 47 with such explanation.
