I 1 1 1-04 Scope of the Work 2 I 3 1-04.2 Coordination of Contract Documents, Plans, Special Provisions 4 Specifications, and Addenda 5 Section 1-04.2 is modified to read as follows: i 6 7 Any inconsistency in the parts of the contract shall be resolved by following this order of 8 precedence (e.g., 1 presiding over 2, 2 over 3, 3 over 4, and so forth): 9 I10 1. Change Orders, 11 2. Addenda, I 12 3. Contract, 13 4. Proposal Form, 14 5. Special Provisions, I 15 6. Contract Plans, 16 7. Amendments to WSDOT Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal 17 Construction, I 18 8. WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal 19 Construction, 20 9. Contracting Agency's Standard Plans (if any), and I 21 22 10. WSDOT/APWA Standard Plans for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction. 23 On the Contract Plans, Working Drawings, and Standard Plans, figured dimensions shall I 24 take precedence over scaled dimensions. 25 26 This order of precedence shall not apply when Work is required by one part of the Contract I 27 but omitted from another part or parts of the Contract. The Work required in one part must 28 be furnished even if not mentioned in other parts of the Contract. 29 I30 If any part of the Contract requires Work that does not include a description for how the 31 Work is to be performed, the Work shall be performed in accordance with standard trade 32 practice(s). For purposes of the Contract, a standard trade practice is one having such 33 regularity of observance in the trade as to justify an expectation that it will be observed by I 34 the Contractor in doing the Work. 35 36 In case of any ambiguity or dispute over interpreting the Contract, the Engineer's decision I 37 will be final as provided in Section 1-05.2. 38 39 Section 1-04.2 is supplemented as follows: 40 I 41 1-04.2(1) Interpretation of Specifications and Drawings 42 The Specifications and Drawings are intended to be explanatory and supportive of each 43 other. Work specified on the Drawings and not in the Specifications, or vice versa, shall be I 44 executed as if specified in both. In the event the Work to be done or matters relative 45 thereto are not sufficiently detailed or explained in the Contract Documents, the Contractor 46 shall immediately ask the Owner's Representative for further explanation and shall comply I 47 with such explanation.
