I <br /> 1 meaning of the Specifications or Drawings, the Contractor shall refer to the Owner's I <br /> 2 Representative for its decision. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 1-04.2(2) Division of Specifications and Drawings <br /> 5 Specifications and Drawings are divided into groups for convenience. These divisions are <br /> 6 not for the purpose of apportioning Work or responsibility for Work among Subcontractors, <br /> 7 suppliers and manufacturers. The Contractor is responsible for all Work shown or <br /> 8 described, regardless of location(s) in the Contract Documents. <br /> 9 <br /> I <br /> 10 1-04.2(3) Discrepancies in Specifications and Drawings <br /> 11 <br /> 12 1-04.2(3)(A) Errors and Omissions <br /> 13 If the Contractor becomes aware of any errors or omissions in the Contract Documents <br /> 14 or in the Owner's field Work, it shall immediately inform the Owner's Representative in <br /> 15 writing. The Owner's Representative will promptly review the matter and if it finds an <br /> 16 error or omission has been made; it will determine the corrective actions and advise I 17 the Contractor accordingly. If the corrective Work associated with an error or omission <br /> 18 increases or decreases the amount of Work called for in the Contract, the Owner will <br /> 19 issue an appropriate Change Order. After discovery by the Contractor of an error or <br /> I <br /> 20 omission, related Work performed by the Contractor shall be done at its risk unless <br /> 21 authorized by the Owner's Representative and approved by the Owner. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 1-04.2(3)(B) Conflicting Provisions I <br /> 24 Figure dimensions on Drawings shall govern over scale dimensions and detail <br /> 25 Drawings shall govern over general Drawings. In the event an item of Work is <br /> 26 described differently in two or more locations on the Drawings and in the <br /> 27 Specifications, the Contractor shall, upon request of the Owner's Representative, <br /> 28 submit in writing to the Owner's Representative the description upon which the <br /> 29 Contractor relied in preparing its Bid or laying out the Work. If the Owner's 11130 Representative directs the Contractor to perform Work in a manner other than that <br /> 31 contemplated by the Contractor in preparing its Bid or laying out the Work, either party <br /> 32 may request an equitable adjustment of Contract Sum or Contract Time. In this event, <br /> 33 the Contractor shall give Notice to the Owner's Representative of such request and ' <br /> 34 provide such supporting information, including Bidding or layout documents, as may <br /> 35 reasonably be necessary for the Owner's Representative to determine whether the <br /> 36 Contract Sum should be increased, decreased or left unchanged. <br /> I <br /> 37 <br /> 38 1-04.2(3)(C) Utilities <br /> 49 <br /> I <br /> 40 1-04.2(3)(C)(1) General <br /> 41 The Owner has endeavored to determine the existence of utilities at the site of the <br /> 42 Work from the records of the Owners of known utilities in the vicinity of the Work. <br /> 43 The positions of these utilities as derived from such records are shown on the <br /> I <br /> 44 Drawings. Unless otherwise noted, no excavations were made to verify the <br /> 45 locations shown for underground utilities. The service connections to these <br /> 46 utilities are not shown on the Drawings. It shall be the responsibility of the <br /> 47 Contractor to determine the exact location of utilities and service connections <br /> 48 thereto. Such field verification must be performed in sufficient time so as not to <br /> 49 impede the progress of the Work or fabrication of materials to be incorporated into <br /> 50 the Work.
