I 1 meaning of the Specifications or Drawings, the Contractor shall refer to the Owner's I 2 Representative for its decision. 3 4 1-04.2(2) Division of Specifications and Drawings 5 Specifications and Drawings are divided into groups for convenience. These divisions are 6 not for the purpose of apportioning Work or responsibility for Work among Subcontractors, 7 suppliers and manufacturers. The Contractor is responsible for all Work shown or 8 described, regardless of location(s) in the Contract Documents. 9 I 10 1-04.2(3) Discrepancies in Specifications and Drawings 11 12 1-04.2(3)(A) Errors and Omissions 13 If the Contractor becomes aware of any errors or omissions in the Contract Documents 14 or in the Owner's field Work, it shall immediately inform the Owner's Representative in 15 writing. The Owner's Representative will promptly review the matter and if it finds an 16 error or omission has been made; it will determine the corrective actions and advise I 17 the Contractor accordingly. If the corrective Work associated with an error or omission 18 increases or decreases the amount of Work called for in the Contract, the Owner will 19 issue an appropriate Change Order. After discovery by the Contractor of an error or I 20 omission, related Work performed by the Contractor shall be done at its risk unless 21 authorized by the Owner's Representative and approved by the Owner. 22 23 1-04.2(3)(B) Conflicting Provisions I 24 Figure dimensions on Drawings shall govern over scale dimensions and detail 25 Drawings shall govern over general Drawings. In the event an item of Work is 26 described differently in two or more locations on the Drawings and in the 27 Specifications, the Contractor shall, upon request of the Owner's Representative, 28 submit in writing to the Owner's Representative the description upon which the 29 Contractor relied in preparing its Bid or laying out the Work. If the Owner's 11130 Representative directs the Contractor to perform Work in a manner other than that 31 contemplated by the Contractor in preparing its Bid or laying out the Work, either party 32 may request an equitable adjustment of Contract Sum or Contract Time. In this event, 33 the Contractor shall give Notice to the Owner's Representative of such request and ' 34 provide such supporting information, including Bidding or layout documents, as may 35 reasonably be necessary for the Owner's Representative to determine whether the 36 Contract Sum should be increased, decreased or left unchanged. I 37 38 1-04.2(3)(C) Utilities 49 I 40 1-04.2(3)(C)(1) General 41 The Owner has endeavored to determine the existence of utilities at the site of the 42 Work from the records of the Owners of known utilities in the vicinity of the Work. 43 The positions of these utilities as derived from such records are shown on the I 44 Drawings. Unless otherwise noted, no excavations were made to verify the 45 locations shown for underground utilities. The service connections to these 46 utilities are not shown on the Drawings. It shall be the responsibility of the 47 Contractor to determine the exact location of utilities and service connections 48 thereto. Such field verification must be performed in sufficient time so as not to 49 impede the progress of the Work or fabrication of materials to be incorporated into 50 the Work.
