Establish elevation bench marks and center or base line alignment control I 10 points for the mainline, one time only. Provide Right of Way stakes where 11 applicable. 12 2. Provide Rights-of-Way, easements or right-of-entry. I 13 3. Provide the Contractor with technical advice if requested. 14 4. Computed grades where needed. I 15 5. Horizontal and vertical curve detections. 16 6. One copy of transit notes showing reference to horizontal and vertical control 17 points. 18 I 19 BRIDGES AND OTHER STRUCTURES 20 21 1. Centerline or offsets to centerline of the Structure. I22 2. Stations of abutments and pier centerlines. 23 3. A sufficient number of bench marks for levels to enable the Contractor to set 24 grades at reasonably short distances. I25 4. Monuments and control points as shown on the Drawings. 26 27 The Contractor shall give the Contracting Agency 3 weeks notification to allow adequate I 28 time to provide the above data. 29 30 The Contractor shall ensure a surveying accuracy within the following tolerances: I 31 32 1. Slope stakes ±0.1 foot 33 2. Subgrade blue tops ±0.01 foot I34 3. Stationing ±0.01 foot 35 4. Alignment ±0.01 foot 36 5. Surfacing red & yellow tops ±0.01 foot 37 6. Superstructure elevations ±0.01 foot (from Plan elevations) I 38 39 7. Substructure ±0.02 foot (from Plan elevations) 40 The Contractor shall slope stake the Roadway before any construction may proceed. I 41 Slope stakes shall be set at 50' maximum intervals on tangents and 25' on curves. 42 43 Subgrade bluetops and surfacing red and yellow tops shall be set at 50' intervals in tangent I 44 sections, 25' intervals in curve sections, and 10' intervals in intersection radii. 45 46 The Contractor's surveyor shall be a licensed surveyor in the State of Washington. The 47 Contractor shall keep updated survey field notes in a standard field book and in a format 111 48 set by the Engineer. These field notes shall include all survey Work performed by the 49 Contractor's surveyor in establishing line, grade and slopes for the construction Work.
