The broom sweeper shall sweep dirt and other debris from the roadway into the <br /> 6 work area. The swept material shall be prevented from entering or washing into waters of I 7 the State. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Street washing with water will require the concurrence of the Engineer. <br /> I <br /> 10 <br /> 11 8-01.3(12) Compost Socks <br /> 12 The first two sentences of the first paragraph are revised to read: <br /> 13 <br /> I <br /> 14 Compost socks are used to disperse flow and sediment. Compost socks shall be installed <br /> 15 as soon as construction will allow but before flow conditions create erosive flows or <br /> 16 discharges from the site. Compost socks shall be installed prior to any mulching or compost <br /> 17 placement. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 8-01.3(13) Temporary Curb <br /> I <br /> 20 The last two sentences of the second paragraph are revised to read: <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Temporary curbs shall be a minimum of 4 inches in height. Temporary curb shall be <br /> 23 installed so that ponding does not occur in the adjacent roadway. <br /> I <br /> 24 <br /> 25 8-01.3(14) Temporary Pipe Slope Drain <br /> 26 The third and fourth paragraphs are revised to read: <br /> I <br /> 27 <br /> 28 The pipe fittings shall be water tight and the pipe secured to the slope with metal posts, <br /> 29 wood stakes, or sand bags. <br /> I <br /> 30 <br /> 31 The water shall be discharged to a stabilized conveyance, sediment trap, stormwater pond, <br /> 32 rock splash pad, or vegetated strip, in a manner to prevent erosion and maintain water <br /> 33 quality compliance. <br /> I <br /> 34 <br /> 35 The last paragraph is deleted. <br /> 36 <br /> I <br /> 37 8-01.3(15) Maintenance <br /> 38 This section is revised to read: <br /> 39 <br /> I <br /> 40 Erosion and sediment control BMPs shall be maintained or adaptively managed as required <br /> 41 by the CSWGP until the Engineer determines they are no longer needed. When <br /> 42 deficiencies in functional performance are identified, the deficiencies shall be rectified <br /> 43 immediately. <br /> 44 <br /> 45 The BMPs shall be inspected on the schedule outlined in Section 8-01.3(1)B for damage <br /> 46 and sediment deposits.
