City of Everett 01 11 00 - 2 <br /> 3600 Smith Street Clean Up <br /> drawings, these specifications, and the Laws, Ordinances and codes of the 1 <br /> governing Agencies having jurisdiction; all complete and ready for use and <br /> occupancy; and, as identified and described above. <br /> 3. The Contract Form is provided in the Contract Documents section of this project <br /> manual. This Form of Contract herein may be subject to change due to changes <br /> in the state indemnity law and for other considerations deemed appropriate or <br /> necessary by the City prior to contract signing. <br /> F. ADDITIONS TO, OR DEDUCTIONS FROM, THE CONTRACT: The authorization of all <br /> Additions to, or Deductions from, labor and materials, as called for in the Contract, shall <br /> be given only upon the Owner's printed form bearing the signatures of the Owner, the <br /> Contractor, and the Architect/Engineer. The form shall list the Work and materials <br /> involved, and shall state the amount to be added to, or deducted from, the Contract Price, <br /> giving the unit cost. This form shall be completed prior to starting the Work involved. <br /> 1.2 CHANGES IN THE WORK <br /> A. OVERHEAD AND PROFIT: Change orders will be calculated based on unit prices in the <br /> base bid. No additional Overhead and Profit shall be applied to Deductive Change <br /> Orders. <br /> B. UNDISCOVERED ITEMS: Cost of materials, cost of delivery, cost of labor, including 1 <br /> Social Security, Old Age and Unemployment Insurance, fringe benefits under collective <br /> bargaining agreements, and Workmen's Compensation Insurance; bond premiums; and <br /> rental value of power tools and equipment, supervision; superintendence; wages of <br /> timekeepers, watchmen and clerks; and the cost of hand tools. <br /> 1.3 WORK BY OTHERS , <br /> A. OTHER CONTRACTS: The Owner shall have the right to let other Contracts in <br /> connection with the Work, and the Contractor shall cooperate with any such Contractors. <br /> B. "N.I.C." Items indicated "NIC" shall be furnished and installed by the Owner, or by other <br /> Contracts. <br /> 1 <br /> 1.4 WORK BY THE OWNER 1 <br /> A. The Owner shall have the right to access the site and execute work not included in the <br /> Contract concurrent with this contract period. Contractor shall cooperate with such <br /> Owner sponsored efforts. <br /> 1.5 PERMITS , <br /> A. The Owner will pay the cost of the general plan review and building permit. The <br /> Contractor shall be responsible to obtain and pay the cost of various_other permits and <br /> connection fees required such as mechanical, plumbing and electrical permits or <br /> connection fees and such shall be included in the Bid. <br /> 01 11 00 - 2 SUMMARY OF WORK <br />
