Section 12: ELECTRICAL WORK - INSPECTION RE.U I RED. If, after
<br /> being notified of the completion of any electrical work or electrical
<br /> equipment hereinbefore specified, the inspector shall be unable to inspect
<br /> the same within a period of twenty-four hours immediately following the service
<br /> 1 of said notice of completion, the City Electrical Inspector may issue a
<br /> temporary permit allowing current to be turned on such electrical equipment,,
<br /> 2 pending the inspection of the work.
<br /> 3 Section lal STRUCTURES TO BE INSPECTED PERIODICALLY. Any person
<br /> owning or in the possession of any building or other structure, within the
<br /> 4 City of Everett, shall permit the inspector to enter and inspect said building
<br /> and premises once in every three months, or oftener if deemed necessary by
<br /> 5 the City Electrical Inspector, for the purpose of ascertaining whether the
<br /> electrical equipment, in or about said building or other structure, or
<br /> 6 premises, is in conformity with the provisions of this chapter; and it shall
<br /> be unlawful for any owner or occupant of premises where electrical equipment
<br /> 7 is used, or to be used, or for any person whatsoever, to prevent or interfere
<br /> with the inspector in the discharge of his duties under this chapter; pro-
<br /> 8 visaing, however, that an assistant inspector shall, upon request of the owner
<br /> or occupant of said premises, exhibit his authority to make such inspection,
<br /> 9 which shall be signed by the City Electrical Inspector. •
<br /> 10 Section 14; RECORDS OF INSPECTION - CITY ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR TO
<br /> KEEP. Said City Electrical Inspector shall keep in his office a register in
<br /> 1 1 which he shall record the number of each building by proper description in
<br /> which an inspection of electrical wiring, appliance, or apparatus has been
<br /> 12 made by him, with the name of the owner or owners of such building, and shall
<br /> keep a record of the number and description for proper indexing of all such
<br /> 13 certificates issued by said City Electrical Inspector, giving the day when the
<br /> 14 same was inspected and the person or persons for whom such inspection was made.
<br /> Sect ion 15: CITY ELECTRICIAN - TO REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL. It shall
<br /> 15 be the duty of the City Electrical Inspector to make each month a full report
<br /> in writing to the City Council showing the transactions of his office.

<br /> Section 16; LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE OR INJURY. This chapter shall not
<br /> 17 be construed to relieve or lessen the responsibility of any person owning,
<br /> operating or installing any electrical equipment, for damage to anyone injured
<br /> 18 by any defect thereof, nor shall the City, or any agent thereof, be held as
<br /> assuming any such liability by reason of the inspection authorized herein, or
<br /> 19 the certificate of inspection issued by the City Electrical Inspector.
<br /> 20 Section l?: NOTICE TO MAKE CHANGES OR ALTERATIONS - DISCONNECTION
<br /> OF WIRING AND FIXTURES. If the inspector shall find any part of any electric
<br /> 21 wiring, apparatus or fixtures, in or about any building? in the City of Everett,
<br /> to have been installed without a permit Or not in accordance with the pro-
<br /> 22visions of this chapter, or to be dangerous to life and property, he shall
<br /> 23 notify, in writing, the owner or occupant of such building, to alter, change,
<br /> or replace such electric wiring, apparatus or fixtures, so that the same shall
<br /> comply with the provisions of this chapter, within a period of not less than
<br /> 2`t ten (10) nor more than thirty (30) days after such notice. If such owner or
<br /> 25 occupant fails to comply with such notice and does not appeal from the decision
<br /> of such inspector, as is hereinafter provided, said inspector shall have the
<br /> 2 6 right to disconnect such electric wiring, apparatus, or fixtures, and place
<br /> the seal upon such electric wiring, apparatus or fixtures so disconnected.
<br /> 27 After such disconnected wiring, apparatus or fixtures have been altered,
<br /> changed or replaced, as required by this chapter and such notice, the seal so
<br /> 28 placed upon the same shall be removed by the inspector. It shall be unlawful
<br /> for any person, firm or corporation to use any current in, through, or by
<br /> 29 means of such disconnected wiring, apparatus or fixtures, or to attach other
<br /> wires for the supply of current to such disconnected wiring, apparatus or
<br /> 30 fixtures, or to remove, break or deface any seal so placed by said inspector.
