Section 25: Low voltage control wiring circuit wiring systems, <br /> such as 24-volt temperature control circuits, 12 and 14-volt switching cir- <br /> cuits for lighting and power relays and contactors, and which are not an in- <br /> tegral part of a pre-wired device shall be inspected along with higher voltage <br /> 1 circuits, and outlets and devices of such systems shall be included in the <br /> schedule of equipment subject to payment of fees. <br /> 2 <br /> Section 26: it shall be unlawful for any contractor, firm or <br /> 3 person, to run temporary cords or wiring on or across public sidewalks or <br /> roadways or any place on private property where public travel will cross such <br /> 4 i wiring. <br /> 5 Section 27; it shell be unlawful for any person to place or install, <br /> or cause to allow to be placed or installed, any flood light upon any prop- <br /> 6 erty that the use of same will interfere with the safe flow of traffic or <br /> cause a. blinding effect upon traffic. It shall also be unlawful to place or <br /> 7 install or cause to or allow to be placed or installed, any colored light of <br /> the intermittent or blinking type that, in any way, would be mistaken for any ' <br /> 8 ! earning, danger, directional or traffic control signals. <br /> 9 i' Section 28: It shall be unlawful to mount power supplies, ampli- <br /> fiers and such similar equipment in attics, under buildings or crawl spaces, <br /> 10 ror mount such equipment on or around combustible materials. No equipment <br /> shall be mounted or installed in wet or damp locations unless designed for <br /> 1 1L use in such locations. <br /> 12 Electrical outlets used as a source of supply shall be permanently . <br /> installed and placed not more than three feet from equipment being served. <br /> 13 <br /> Section 29: It shall be unlawful for any radio or television re- <br /> 14 ceiving or broadcasting station to erect or install any antenna, mast, tower <br /> or counterpoise- without first securing a permit for such installation, and <br /> 15 ii conforming to the requirements of the National Electrical Code. For each <br /> installation the fee shall be 42.00. <br /> 16 <br /> No radio or television receiving or broadcasting station equipment <br /> 17 , with an antenna, mast or counterpoise extending over the City street areas, <br /> shall be installed unless approved by the CityElectricalInspector and the <br /> 18 City Commissioners. Permission to install such equipment shall be requested <br /> 19 ;', cf the City in a formal written request for approval. The fee shall be $5.00. <br /> For commercial radio or television transmitting or broadcasting <br /> 20 stations, the fee shall be determined on the basis of the electrical equip- <br /> 21 ment installed, but in no case shall the fee be less than 425.00. <br /> For amateur radio transmitting or broadcasting stations, the fee <br /> 22 shall be " 1.50. <br /> 23 Section 30: ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR - DUTIES, RIGHTS AND PUVrERS. <br /> 24It shall be the duty of the Electrical inspector and his authorized assistants <br /> to inspect all television and radio receiving antenna to ascertain if the <br /> .work has been done in a workmanlike manner and to investigate all complaints <br /> 25 from the general public pertaining to said antenna installations and inter- <br /> 26 ± ference caused thereby. <br /> The Electrical Inspector and his assistants are hereby empowered <br /> 27 to inspect or reinspect any wiring, equipment or apparatus conducting or using <br /> 28i,electric current for radio and television receiving service in the City, and <br /> if conductors, equipment or apparatus are found to be unsafe to life or <br /> 29 :, property, or are not in conformity with the provisions of this ordinance, <br /> the Electrical Inspector shall notify the person owning or operating the <br /> 30 hazardous wiring or equipment to correct the condition within a forty-eight <br /> hour period or within the time the Electrical Inspector specifies. Failure <br /> 31 !.of <br /> correct violations within the specified time shall constitute a violation <br /> of this ordinance. <br /> 32 -9- <br />
