provided payment in full has been rendered to the Water Department for all <br /> arrears and outstanding charges against the premises and the owner thereof. <br /> Section 26: Frequent Turn Ons and Shut Offs - Special Charge. In a <br /> case where the water is requested to be shut off to a given premises and <br /> within a period of less than thirty (30) days the water is requested to be <br /> turned on again, there shall be a special charge made for such shut off and <br /> turn on in the amount shown in Section 72 of this Ordinance, and such special <br /> charge shall be added to and considered part of the regular water billing for <br /> the premises. <br /> Section 27: Alteration of Existing Service. After a service connection <br /> shall have been installed to the premises and the owner of such premises <br /> desires to have the existing service connection relocated or changed by <br /> either an increase or decrease in size, or otherwise altered, the work <br /> necessary to accomplish such change shall be performed by the Water Depart- <br /> ment on that portion of the service connection between the main and up to and <br /> including the service cock or meter. All costs thereof shall be paid by the <br /> person requesting the change or alteration. <br /> Section 28: Service Connection - Renewal. The service line between <br /> the main and the service cock or meter may be renewed by the Water Depart- <br /> ment at its expense upon the request of the property owner only after the line <br /> has been in service twenty (20) years or more and has incurred internal <br /> corrosion or has otherwise depreciated to the extent that inadequate or other- <br /> wise unsatisfactory service exists. The property owner however, must first <br /> renew the service line between the house and the service cock or meter before <br /> the Water Department will renew its section of the service connection line. <br /> This rule shall not apply in the event the service line between the main and <br /> the service cock or meter is copper or is demonstrated to deliver an adequate <br /> flow at the service cock or meter. The foregoing notwithstanding, a service <br /> line between the main and the service cock or meter may be renewed at the <br /> - 14- <br />
