• <br /> by the Water Department and the Fire Department. <br /> Section 56: Fire Service - Application - Information. Water shall <br /> be supplied for fire protection purposes, only after application has been <br /> made by the customer or his agent and approved by the Water Department. <br /> Sufficient information shall be supplied at the time of making application for <br /> service to enable the Water Department to fully determine the nature and <br /> extent of the proposed system. The Water Department shall have the right <br /> to refuse to turn on any such service until the customer installing such ser- <br /> vice shall provide to the Water and/or Fire Department(s) a drawing of the <br /> system installed which contains adequate information showing the locations <br /> and sizes of the system piping and appurtenances. <br /> Section 57: Insufficient Water Quantity And/Or Pressure - Water <br /> Department Not Liable. The Water Department hereby expressly notifies <br /> all its customers of every classification that it is not responsible nor liable <br /> for any personal injury nor property damage or losses due to fire or confla- <br /> gration by reason of an insufficient quantity of water and/or insufficient <br /> water pressure or for any reason whatsoever at the time of fires or fire <br /> alarms or at any other time. Rates established for service connections of <br /> any type, including fire service connections, are, and shall always be, <br /> conditioned upon the premise that no liability of any nature whatsoever shall <br /> attach to the Water Department by reason of failure of water quantity or <br /> water pressure. <br /> Section 58: Fire Hydrants and Standpipes. <br /> a. Ownership and maintenance: The Water Department shall <br /> own all fire hydrants and standpipes connected to the Water System <br /> which are located on public streets, utility easements and rights of <br /> way. All fire hydrants and standpipes within the City limits shall be <br /> maintained at the expense of the Everett Fire Department. <br /> -26- <br />
