(R7A AGRA) be allow'ed to review completed Project sPecificatfons and plans In order to verii
ihat the recommendatfons preserrted In this report heve beeadequately Incorporated imo the Hnel desfpn.
SITE AND PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project sRe fsoceted at the southem terminus of Sevenich Drive, near the intersection of Laurel Drfve
and 34th Street.n Everett,Washington. The sfte Is irrepularly shapedand approximetely eight ecres in size.
The ske Is accessed via e PoorlY maintained extension ot Sevenich Drive, hom which an dd concrete
dy ontnues orrto the ske. We understand that the concrete drivewaY wes fortnerly used for sfte
access, end was found to be in good to poor condRion at dHferent locations across the sRe. The driveway
wes covered over wkh debris during our inkial reconnaissance o1 the sfte.
, , Sfte topography is quke Irtegular, wfth a deeplyncsed revine that runs approximately southeast-northwesi
near the northem sfte boundary. A moderateiy sloping topopraPhic high near the south central portion of
the sfte predually transftlons to steeply sloPing areas that joln wrih the ravine to the northeast and wlth a very
steep embankment adJacent ro the raflroad to the northwest arxl west• Overall vertical reUet across the sfte
' ' S pdBr pi 100 feet. Besed on disruptions observed in the subJect concrete drivewey, as well as
• ' ' surflcial topographeXPressions, soma of the slopes on the ske eppear to have been subject to recent and
{ "' onpoiny siope movement This movement appearsto be deep-sea►ed and rotational in nature, eccompanied
by smaller, shallower earthflow features. Areas affected by slope movement indude relatNeiy large portions
of the embankmeM above the reroed alignment elong the northwestem ske boundery es well as smailer
areas along the ravine near the drNewey erKrence at the east end of the sfte. The ske was observed to be
vegetated wfth a dense assembly ot deciduous trees with scattered conHers end dense undergrowth.
We understed that the proposed developmeM wfll consist of construction of residentfal dwellings end
rehabllitetion of the existing concrete driveway. The driveway rehabilftation will Iclude the construction of
a retaining wall near the sfte entrance and an embenkment wRh culvert tor crossing the ravine end small
" creek at the east end ot the sfte. We understand that the proposed dwellings will be standard construction
two level homes estaNished n9ar existing grade. Based on our fietd observations, R would appear that the
,.., required retaining wall may renge up to about 81eet in height,
G AGRA
_. ` Earth&Environmental Group
