<br /> A. Briefly describe your firm. Include how long the company been in business.
<br /> Our firm, LEPS-PSS, PLLC, is a newly formed entity that combines the extensive experience of Law Enforcement
<br /> Psychological Services, Inc. (LEPS)and Public Safety Selection, PC(PSS), as well as the individual experiences of
<br /> Drs. Mike and Ryan Roberts, and Dr. Cerise Vablais.
<br /> Drs. Mike and Ryan Roberts through their company, LEPS, have been providing services throughout the U.S.for
<br /> over 40 years and in the process have screened more than 200,000 applicants for police,fire and other public
<br /> safety positions. In 2006, Dr. Mike Roberts purchased the practice of Dr.Jim Tracy and formed PSS, now owned
<br /> jointly with Dr. Ryan Roberts,to establish a business in the Seattle metro area. PSS has since become the leading
<br /> provider of public safety psychological services in the Pacific Northwest and serves well over 100 clients in
<br /> Washington, Alaska, and Idaho. Dr. Cerise Vablais joined PSS in 2015 and quickly became an indispensable
<br /> part of the PSS team. Prior to joining Dr.Vablais had been providing assessment services since 2007 and
<br /> overall she has conducted over 4,500 preemployment evaluations as well as 2,500 forensic evaluations.
<br /> She has been providing pre-employment evaluations for public safety positions through PSS's and LEPS-PSS's
<br /> contracts with various city,county,federal, and state agencies, including the Seattle Fire Department,
<br /> Washington State Dept. of Corrections,State of Alaska Dept.of Corrections and the Alaska State Troopers.
<br /> LEPS-PSS was created by Dr. Mike Roberts, Dr. Ryan Roberts and Dr. Cerise Vablais to formalize their partnership
<br /> in providing public safety services to law enforcement and fire agencies throughout the U.S.The individual
<br /> partners and the companies they represent have a well-deserved reputation for providing expertise in public
<br /> safety selection, responsiveness to departmental timetables,the highest quality assessment and reporting
<br /> procedures, and a competitive cost.Through our extensive experience, our team has learned what qualities
<br /> agencies want in their applicants, and how various critical areas need to be addressed in our reports to the
<br /> Department. Contract duties include assessing applicants for firefighter, police officer, special assignments,
<br /> dispatcher, as well as other positions as required by the RFQ. Dr Vablais also conducts fitness for duty
<br /> evaluations, officer wellness visits as well as critical incident debriefing.
<br /> LEPS-PSS is uniquely qualified for this task because of our team's history performing similar services to other
<br /> agencies (for example,Seattle Fire Department; Bellevue Fire Department, Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority,
<br /> Seattle Police Department; Seattle Fire Department; Everett PD;Washington Dept of Fish &Wildlife;San Jose
<br /> Fire Department;Alexandria,VA Fire Department; Washington, DC Fire Department). Our proposal offers a
<br /> continuity of screening services,with no "learning curve,"training period or need to recruit and train a team of
<br /> new psychologists.Through this extensive experience we have developed a highly effective approach, efficiently
<br /> processing applicants from written testing through the final report and recommendation.
<br /> B. Who are you proposing to be the primary psychologist if awarded this contract? Describe that person's
<br /> knowledge base regarding the specifications listed in Section 2. List their education, years practicing,years in the
<br /> industry, and years with the firm, etc. Provide a copy of their license and certifications.
<br /> Dr. Cerise Vablais is the key person performing the role of chief operating officer of LEPS-PSS. She is responsible
<br /> for managing office operations and conducting individual face-to-face interviews of applicants referred to us by
