Describe how you acquire and maintain the staff/personnel possessing the qualifications and capabilities called <br /> for in this RFP. <br /> Successfully managing a large psychological screening contract requires maintaining an experienced,well- <br /> trained team of support staff that view themselves as partners with the client agencies. Each employee in our <br /> firm assigned to this project has extensive experience in providing pre-employment evaluation services. Each of <br /> our psychologists attends—and participates—in annual continuing education courses provided in conjunction <br /> with the International Association of Chiefs of Police, as well as the test-focused JRA User's Group Training at <br /> the same annual conference. <br /> J. What is your staff turnover rate annually for the past three years? <br /> In the last three years,we've had one administrative person leave our company due to retirement. No <br /> psychologists have left our firm in the last 3 years, and most have been active for many more than that. <br /> K. What characteristics most distinguish your organization from your competitors? <br /> LEPS-PSS psychologists are trained and follow evidenced based practices for the hiring of public safety personnel <br /> and are committed to continuous evaluation and modification of tests and processes. Dr.Vablais and Dr. <br /> Roberts are both involved in national organizations that are focused on public safety psychology. Other firms do <br /> not maintain digital databases of applicants who have been screened, hired and have either been successful in <br /> their careers,or not. <br /> LEPS-PSS has an ongoing research program to monitor and improve the usefulness of our psychological <br /> evaluations. An important element of this research program is a continual investigation of the predictive validity <br /> and adverse impact associated with our evaluation process. We have worked with multiple agencies over the <br /> years to track the successful and unsuccessful firefighters in order to improve our selection recommendations to <br /> the department. <br /> Additionally, LEPS-PSS offers the ability to conduct psychological evaluations remotely through a combination of <br /> online testing and video interviews. LEPS-PSS currently conducts around 30%of our pre-employment <br /> evaluations using this method.This allows agencies to recruit candidates in other states as well as saving <br /> candidate the time and expense of traveling to complete this portion of the process. Our agencies using this <br /> online option have provided feedback that remote testing has allowed them to attract a more diverse applicant <br /> pool. <br /> 2.Technical Capability,Approach, and Capacity <br /> A.
