Additionally, Dr.Vablais <br /> testified frequently on matters of competency and criminal responsibility from 2008 until 2011. <br /> From 2011 until 2015, Dr.Vablais provided direct testimony and managed a team of court psychologists who <br /> routinely opined on a patient's need for continued hospitalization and on the risk they would pose to the <br /> community or themselves if they were released. Between 2007 and 2015, she provided over 10,000 suicide risk <br /> assessments in various settings and was asked to comment on risk and threat level on a daily basis in all of the <br /> environments in which she worked. <br /> Additionally, Dr.Vablais was recently appointed by Washington State Governor Jay Inslee to the Washington <br /> State Public Safety Review Panel, a seven-member multi-disciplinary panel with expertise from a variety of fields <br /> related to civil commitment, community supervision, and public safety.The panel meets monthly to review <br /> conditional release plans for patients housed in Washington's forensic facilities, and assessment of risk for future <br /> violence factors heavily in these discussions. <br /> F.
